DJ software reccomendation

Post by the get down » Mon Aug 03, 2009 3:57 am

(Yes i searched before i posted this :) )

Im looking to move to a software DJ setup.

I want to use the interface I allready have (MOTU ultralite mkIII).

I'd like to use controll vinyl and my vestax mixer.

I'm on PC.

---------
I was looking at traktor but I'd really rather not buy one of there interfaces just for that one program.

What sollutions are out there?

do you want to move coz it is hard to mix on cd/vinyl or coz u are sick of carrying vinyl?:P

if its #1 then check ableton live or traktor 3.2/pro (more dj like)
if its #2 then traktor scratch, serato, final scratch. (traktor scratch is my fav:P)

Check out Mixvibes, you should be able to use your MOTU Ultralite with that. Where as with Traktor and Serato you need their own boxes such as the Audio 4 or 8, or the SL1 or SL3.

yah, would really prefer to use my ultralite. Am I right that the only interfaces that work with traktor are the NI audio 8/4?

I definitely need Live gig-worthy stability- Will mixvibes suffice?

Any thoughts on dekadance?
