No. Nobody at all anywhere likes Rusko anymore. Thats why he is getting booked all over the world and selling tunes like nobodies business doing collabs with some big names cross genres and raking in a shitload more cash than most people who use this forum will probably ever be earning in the next 10 years.
What an idiot eh?
Does anyone still like Rusko

I like some of his stuff. Other stuff not so much. I opened for him for his live show, and people were digging it. The show sold out. He still has fans, just not DSF peeps apparently. When you get a bunch of music nerds together, of course there will be complaining. I've seen this same hate thread about Skream.
LMAO really? I thought Skream was that dude that people on here won't direct any negativity towards.Ben Freeman wrote:I like some of his stuff. Other stuff not so much. I've hated rusko for awhile... went and saw him at glade and I thought he was awesome!!!!
Although with retrospect, I was fucked off my face
my watch was wrong and I didn't have a clue who was playing. Whoever was playing was fucking having it (Mum dance, Raffertie or Starkey), I think it was Raffertie, I was too busy staring at all the hot girls to really care. I had to leave though as I jizzed/pissed myself
Anyway I came back later, feeling k, clean pants and all that. The place was rammed, the music was deeply shite... That must have been when rusko was on. Worse than that all the hot girls had run away

Bionic Commando is great! Tbh, i've only heard a few of his tracks that are actually shite and unimaginative (Paper Bag and Cockney Thug).
Loads of his stuff is catchy and fun, hich i guess is what he's aiming for. He isn't trying to be Appleblim or whatever.
I heard a track by him the other day that has like auto tuned vocals and cheesy 80's synths thought it was great hehe

This is EXACTLY what happened at Global Gathering (erm apart from I just about managed not to spooge in my boxers) As soon as Rusko came on the girls in the crowd just vanished because it changed from people playing bangers (MAH, Hatcha, N-Type,Caspa) to Rusko playing a bass guitar and grinning like a spoon. The only people left were some seriously mashed dudes in tye dye tees. He IS talented and most of his older stuff is awesome but I just dont get this live thing at all...... especially at top of the bill at a festival, I mean seriously WTF?bennyc wrote:I've hated rusko for awhile... went and saw him at glade and I thought he was awesome!!!!

He's still one of my favourite producers, though what I've heard of him is very hit or miss.
The wobble can sometimes sound *too* much like someone shaking a duck.
Woo boost is one of my fave tracks of all time though!

Man I'm kinda glad to hear that, I went to Global to see Orbital first and foremost, and they clashed with Rusko... Some guy was telling us how good Rusko was live but I dragged everyone off to Orbital lol they were fucking immense incidentally, double winPHASEten wrote:It is horrible.grooki wrote:DJPavillion wrote: It's just a horrible low sample rate sound playing random notes. Im a Rusko fan, I think he is hugely talented, but his new stuff is totally lacking in any type of direction. It just sounds like random wobbles over standard beats. He should stick to what he is good at, namely bangers. Pure dancefloor tracks.
I caught the Rusko live show at Global and it was a huge let down. Mind you following Hatcha, N-type and Caspa cant be easy...... but still it was horribly lame.
I hope he sorts his game out I really do......
Peace
