CD burning problems

Post by dj leeno » Sun Aug 09, 2009 1:25 pm

Hi,

I'm having problems burning CD's. I think it might be a problem with my actual CD drive?

When I'm burning a few files to cd its fine.

Over about 10 and I get an error. The tracks are on the CD but my CD deck has trouble reading them. It takes ages to read the track and sometimes doesn't work at all.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. (need to burn some CD's off urgently to DJ at a party)

Might be the CD's.

Are they shitty cheap ones like Tescos? It's worth paying more and getting good ones like Verbatim, they work every time.

yeah try with windows standard burning,

if thsi doesnt work, consider a drive cleaner disk (it'll either fix it or fux it completely)

if windows burning works and you have or have ever had itunes installed (or random 3rd party disk burning software) consider running the upper and lower filter registry fix -

Yeah tried different software (Burrnn)

When I burnt using WMP it did not play at all on my CD deck. Does it burn as WMA? or convert to mp3 ?

should ideally give you the option each time you go to burn - asking if its for computers or cd players - if not check in tools/options

try deleting and updating your aspi drivers
if that doesn't fix might be the drive itself which will require a disc lens cleaner, potentiometer manual adjust if your tech/electronics savvy, or a new drive if all else fails
