British weather...
Ok so maybe not the most interesting topic ever but its one of the most popular topics in everyday conversation over here isnt it.
Anyway im posting this because our weather is really fucking shit. You call this summer, it has probably rained more than it did in the whole Autumn and Winter and im having trouble knowing whether to wear a summer jacket or a rain coat on a daily basis.
Summer is gonna be over soon and we have barely had any sun and it fucking pisses me off. What is going on? Is this global warming come to punish us???

We're surprisingly warm for being so north of the equator, if we were a bigger land mass and away from the gulf stream we'd have some really fucking cold winters and summers and way shorter - we are practically parallel to Newfoundland and northern Canada and Scotland is even further north. Fuck that - I'd rather put up with the unpredictable British weather
Besides I don't think it has been too bad this year. I am brahn as a nut, mate, init.
Oh and I'd hate to have hot and sticky humidity like you get in Florida and New Orleans. I'd die

Its not been to bad down in London - been quite a enjoyable summer really... apart from the humid nights.

Just sat down in the sunshine outside Tate Modern without checking the dampness of the ground. Now I have a massive wet patch on the arse of my suit trousers.

I love the weather in this country. It's comfortable pretty much all the time. It hardly ever gets too hot or too cold. The land is green all year round.
Every time I go somewhere else I get quite emotional when I get off the plane. This is somewhere people were meant to live.
CUE ELGAR.

Im not talking showers mate, im talking monsoon type business. Yesterday it looked like I could have got a boat home, i was fucking soaked. It was so bad towards the end of last month that Victoria tube line had to close due to flooding...in fucking summer!!!!deamonds wrote:Not surprising G, everywhere has showers, the way I sit in work, it fucking BEAMS! all day, then it comes to like 5:15 when Im going home and pisses downFAUST.DTC wrote:deamonds wrote:well i got burned to fuck on sunday so im not complaining lolIm coming to your ends mate, im looking like Casper the ghosts albino brother right now and its not a good look. But that is too true man, I go to work in the morning and the weather is bleak, I get to work and suddenly the sun pops out from behind the clouds briefly and then I get to go home and it pours down. The worst one is when it rains in the morning though and you get to work all wet and miserable.
