True Blood

Post by sinc_vision » Thu Aug 13, 2009 3:35 pm

Seriously surprised noone's made a thread about this yet.

This show is fucking brilliant, and anyone into high quality US dramas most definitely has to watch this. It's appealing to those with instant gratification TV sensibilities but also has oodles of subtext, combined with clever, thought provoking, and laugh-out-loud-funny-as-fuck writing. It understands the lore of vampires very well and uses it excellently to dramatic and humorous effect.

Easily the best show on at the moment and definitely up there with HBO's long list of greats.

I'm completely up to date (s02e08) and can't wait for next weeks ep. Who else is watching?

Ooh, my lady was nagging me to get hold of this the other night.

Let's face it, a ninja recommendation is far more reliable.

I should have created one as Ive literally just watched the whole first season and loved it. Ive just started on season 2 and cant wait to see what happens.

Im not gonna give too much away though as you other ninjas should watch this. What i cant believe though is that Jason Stackhouse is Vinny from Home & Away :o ...as an Aussie he pulls off that accent really convincingly.

Stream it on the internet via OVguide.com Si, i found the first season loads and plays really quickly on a half decent broadband connection. Season 2 not so much...

Best show on TV.

I'm from the South and I think it would be easy to miss alot of the humor if you didn't grow up in those parts.

Watch it!
