Zomby's got problems...

Post by darknes »

He's supposed to open for Animal Collective in Brooklyn for a very reputable promoter - one of New York's biggest groups, Bowery Presents.

Just heard from a contact over there that he won't be showing up.

My only reaction is sadness. He really burned a bridge with this one. Whatever's wrong with dude, I hope he works it out. I won't be paying to see him again. I've seen Animal Collective before, not my thing.

Just heard from a contact over there that he got on the plane but was escorted off and deemed unfit to fly.

My only reaction is sadness. He really burned a bridge with this one. Whatever's wrong with dude, I hope he works it out. I won't be paying to see him again EVER. $35 wasted, no desire to see Animal Collective.

Sounds like he needs help. This is destructive.
You knew the risks before you bought your ticket.

You're right. You're still kind of a jerk, but you're right. This is dubstepforum, right? A place where people gather to talk about dubstep, it's leading lights, etc.? Felt this was news, thought I was sharing something the community would value - more evidence that you shouldn't buy Zomby tickets. Community service like? Pardon me...

the thought that zomby might have honestly been trying to reach all the bookings he has missed actually endears him to me.

i now have the image of a hopeless manchild blundering through the worlds trainstations/airports with a massive box of records under one arm, a laptop under the other, spitting and swearing drunkenly at staff and invariably ending up in a holding cell.

no hate tho - big up zomby (or at least his tunes)

Back in the dayz we used to sit cross legged in a circle at DMZ and signal the DJ with joss sticks.

lol @ "you knew the risks"

so Zomby's rep is that bad huh? I'd be pissed.

I only got into him recently, would like to see that shit live, but apparently that isn't too realistic.
