I'd love to know what that was like and if there were any photos or recordings...
Yeah I remember that like it was yesterday, can remember the crazy Moschino shirt I wore. It was the night before my birthday and I got pulled over by police while riding the short short distance from the club to Big Apple for the after party. I got 3 points for not driving in accordance with my license which wasn't bad considering I should have got a ban because I was so drunk up.

Beautiful thread, I missed a lot of these tunes for being too deep in Jungle, Tech House & Hip-Hop but found a massive stash of garage the other day and copped some classics!

I was only 10 at the time, really wasn't into this sort of music at all. Such a shame i missed out really.

But when i bought my decks, they came with 2 massive boxes of vinyl. Only now am i realizing how sick some of the tunes are.
I've got Golly gosh, Bitch, War, Girlfriends story etc Basically bare old garage and grime records that I have never considered to be such big tunes!

I'm working on it.
:Q:

I find it a bit gutting that something like that never happened near my door, I would love to have memories like you guys have!
The beginning of the dubstep scene in Belgium was very exciting :) (and it still is)

5 years ago Dice did the first dubstep happenings in Antwerp but at best 10 people showed up  + we had a monthly residency in bar SOS (rip). And at the same time BunZero & Grimelock were pushing things in Brussels.

And in the beginning of 2000 there was a small UKGarage/breakbeat scene in Brussels which was heavy!
Yeah but I was 11 back then.

John wanted to travel and had other plans. He seems to have done some really amazing things since closing the shop and I am pretty sure he has no regrets!!
