The more of it I hear, the less original I am... confounding.
Check this bass patch made in sytrus.

I have never been into Grime and have only just started trying to make 2step. I found it a challenge and I liked that.
How do I open .fst files?! is that to load into Sytrus?
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Yeh I am at work so not got anything to load it into.
Feel free to mp3 it

Which bit?
808 Kick for the low end tuned for the intro with a saw wave wobble with an envelope generator increasing the resonance on the low pass filter as you hold the key down, not too much mind. The same envelope is probably on the filter cut off to open it up a litle as notes held down too.
When it kicks in the 808 goes and a sine wave sub comes in followed by some detuned square wave wobble later on with a bit of chorus.

OK guys this is an awkward one, but any help muchos appreciated!! I heard this sound in the demo player of sytrus (which is what made me buy it) but it's not in a preset and I'm struggling to create it myself.
http://www.image-line.com/documents/sytrus.html
the second song in the player, about 5 seconds in, there's a really shitty-sounding videogame-style sound
any ideas? I'd love to use this sound and any help would be great

What DAW are you using?
If its Reason 4 then I can vaguely recall Thor having a preset which is exactly that noise.
