ROOM 1 – EXODUS vs BASS CAMP

A very special union indeed - Exodus - the UK’s biggest Dubstep event teams up once again with Manchester’s very own originators Bass Camp to bring you the most heavyweight soundsystem showcase in the North West. Bringing the crystal-clear gargantuan Dub-bass will be Nottingham’s finest - Sweet Potato Soundsystem!

LOEFAH & SGT POKES - (DMZ / SWAMP 81)

Two of the pioneering fathers of the Dubstep sound, Loefah and Sgt Pokes come to grace Bass Camp for the 1st time since 2006. Loefah continues to test systems with his distinctive sound through his new Swamp 81 imprint which features releases from Kryptic Minds and Skream. Consistently voted the best host in the scene, Sgt Pokes brings his Jungle pedigree to the table and never fails to hype up the dance.

YOUNGSTA & SP:MC - (FWD / TEMPA)

Rinse FM’s Youngsta has been a force in the garage scene since age 13, a resident at FWD>> and one of the most technically gifted DJs on the circuit. Performing alongside him will be SP:MC, an accomplished producer in his own right, SP is also the host of choice for the likes of Breakage, D-Bridge and Friction.

KROMESTAR - (DUB STAR / DEEP MEDI MUSIK / FANTASTIC 3)
Dubstep’s most prolific producer already with two LPs to his name, makes a welcome return to Bass Camp. Responsible for the classic Kalawanji / Surgery (medi 01), Kromestar’s extensive back catalogue on practically every label in the scene is always of a consistently high quality, expect fresh dubs all the way.

EXODUS - (SUBDUB / OUTLOOK FESTIVAL)
Arguably the main driving force behind the progression of Dub music in the UK, Exodus is himself the founder of Sub Dub, Outlook Festival, Tribe Records and of course the Exodus event. From Roots to Dancehall to modern Dubstep bangers, his sets are always varied and expertly crafted.

KEN EVIL - (WHP / APE / BASS CAMP)

SUBLIMINAL - (SUBSONIK / BASS CAMP)
Bass Camp’s resident host and founder of Subsonik Records. Subliminal has been instrumental in pushing new talent to the forefront of the scene and has hosted for some of it’s finest. Subz 006 from Cluekid is out now with previous releases from Biome, G-Man and Serantis.

ROOM 2 – WHATEVER THE WEATHER

Bringing an eclectic mix of Soul-driven dancefloor shakers, expect everything from Jazz to Jungle thrown into the mix. Watch out for forthcoming Whatever the Weather release ‘Born Again’ featuring Ghetto, 16Bit and Indigo!

KWASI ASANTE - (FRIENDS & FAMILY)

Heavyweight percussionist, host and positive vibes provider. Ever smiling, Kwasi is a Manchester legend and has worked with Mungo's Hi-Fi, Freedom Masses, C-Charge, Urban Cookie Collective and Suns of Arqa amongst others.

FRITZ TREASON - (BLACK ACRE / HEMLOCK)
When he’s not guzzling bratwurst or plotting to invade Europe, Herr Treason can be found constructing highly innovative and abstract mixes. From Bjork to Pangaea to Ella Fitzgerald, Fritz’s selections represent the Whatever the Weather philosophy perfectly.

Yeah we've been having the summer off to concentrate on festivals and to prepare for our up-coming, bigger and badder events, starting with this one.

Watch this space for even more STUPID line-ups over the coming months, including Bass Camp's 5th Birthday in November!

In Room 2, you will be able to catch Whatever the Weather resident CBD playing a jungle set, joined by his big brother on the violin. They are without doubt the two most wacky and talented brothers around.

CBD at our last event…
