Tim Hecker is simply amazing, he really does make the most beautiful songs ever... I recommend getting ALL his albums, he has 5 now I think. I'd suggest getting Radio Amor first, it has my favorite song by him, "Trade Winds, White Heat".

First listen to the links and names got dropped in this topic and then start posting stuff. You're just posting dubstep now. No bad music, you just didnt understood the topic completely

i quite like a bit of minimal ambient music, unfortunately like most other forms of music everything else (apart from the actual music) makes me want to stab a baby in the chest. those fucking covers annoy me. they always remind me of something a dying scandinavian immortal would draw with her voice as she finally breaths her last breath. talk about drama queens.

lol you should checkout deepchords - the coldest season if you like minimal ambient techno kinda shit. Really deep stab pads. Or do you mean the brian eno paino pieces ?

i will check that out. to be quite honest i haven't heard much of eno's stuff and from what i've heard it seems to be quit nice. can you recommend some piano/keyboard focused works?

most of the ambient stuff i like is sort of the more ambient minimal tech stuff. i have recently been listening to a lot of minimal jazz though which can be quite ambient at times.

then i can adivice you Brian Eno's Ambien 1 till 4. Those are mostly he piano pieces

Brain Eno:

Ambient 1- Music For Airports
Ambient 2 - The Plateau of Mirrors
Ambient 4 - On Land

Besides that, you might check out steve reich too. Kinda minimal techno hypnotizing shit but with classical instruments.
