in memory of shawn patrick kelley

Post by cymbalism » Thu Aug 20, 2009 11:16 pm

sunday was a very hard day for me to cope with, my business partner shawn patrick kelley passed away at the age of 28. we laid him to rest yesterday afternoon.

he recently became very fond of dubstep and both he and i were planning a lot with cymbstep and unfortunately his time working with me on the whole project came to an end way sooner than it should have.

i am carrying on full speed with cymbstep in his honor and plan on doing something extra special to keep his memory going and keep the music he dug so much coming.

if you spoke to shawn, you would know of his passion for music. he was always one to talk about huge projects and i'm wanting to work with some people for a special ep, possibly lp in the upcoming months. if you feel like contributing to this, please contact me via pm or on aim at kaossnsmm or via email. i know he was extremely fond of dz's work as well as rusko and our friends fused forces and countless others out there.

his time here with us was way too short and i'm very sad to see him gone but i will keep pushing the sounds because he would want it that way.

rest well my friend and to everyone else, be safe.

all the best

:(

I feel your pain man. I lost one of the homies recently & now I carry on his work in his honor. It's a tragedy when someone is lost so young. I didn't know Shawn, but he seemed to be a stand up guy from what I gather. I wish you & your associates luck on your endeavours with the future.

Blessings,
Dan

Fund for Shawn Patrick's daughter Riley Marie Kelley

Post by serenitynetworks » Sat Aug 22, 2009 10:39 pm

Shawn's fiancee, Ciera, requested that a memorial be established to help provide for their daughter's education. An educational fund account has been set up so that donations may be made directly to the fund via PayPal (whether you have a PayPal account or not) from Riley's web site.

Please consider making the most generous donation you are able. You could also send the link out to others, &/or post it on your own sites and blogs.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Shawn's Family

PS. Please PM me if you have any questions.
