Edit: And I think the first film I've ever liked Perry Benson in!

Yeah, it felt very clumsily put together. Leaving out all the important questions while not even being entertaining.

Watched Stranger than Fiction and Jarhead (again) recently, nice to see Ferrell in a different role.

I started to watch this because of sheer boredom and it pissed me off... my own annoyance at the crap way it was broken up into chapters, and arty camera work that didn't work! I thought it might have been quite good as it's one of Lars von Trier's films, bloke who did Dancer in the Dark, and it also had William Dafoe in it who I quite like. It begins by a tragedy, a couple who lose their son whilst having sex - and there's some (quite graphic penetration shots in it that I didn't expect). I don't think you find out their names, but the husband wants to be her therapist and takes her to an isolated boffy in the middle of the forest. There's plenty of symbolism and a beard stroking soundtrack to make it a cult, which it will be I think.. but nah, I was bored of this one quite quickly. Besides which I don't really want to see a woman cut off her own clitoris with a rusty pair of scissors
