Its not bullshit - they might be able to get any tune they wrote signed but this isn't any tune its a remix for a big label who isn't interested in pushing the boundaries of experimentation in dubstep they just want a formulatic tune with all the usual elements Nero are known for, if they wanted something deep they would have asked a deep producer to do the remix.STOON wrote:bullshit bullshit bullshitRob Sparx wrote: You really don't have a fucking clue how things work - record labels are run by sheep they want a certain kind of music and it doesn't matter how good the tunes are if its not in the style they want then they won't accept it so its not even up to Nero really - if they wrote something real deep it probably wouldn't be accepted anyway.
neros big enough for anything they wrote to be signed, or for them to put it out themselves if they cared enough
but no their lazy and go for the quick easy route
noone else who writes the non wobble stuff has had that problem
shame, production skills going to waste
I could see your point about 'selling out' if Nero were deep producers but thats never been their thing they've always wrote this sort of music. It is often cheesy uni popstep but they're not writing it for money thats just what they like, hard as that might be to believe!

how about fuck the labels and only release music that means somethingRob Sparx wrote:They're keeping whats on the album top secret but apparently there is some deep tunes on there, I'm looking forward to hearing it. What I'm saying is that when a big label asks them to remix a pop single thats not what they're looking for, they just want something in the usual style of that producer. They're keeping their deep stuff for the album but playing it safe with the big profile remixes, lots of these remixes need to be done very quickly as well (label can give you as little as 7-10 days to do them sometimes) so its not practical to write deep music which can often take much longer to write and probably won't be appreciated by the label anyway.
or you could get more of a life? different strokes for different folks - people disagree, that's cool. get over it.THE-VOICE-OF-REASON wrote:Shit vocal and A predictable remix. What i never get is that cheesy midrange/wobble made at 170 is considered shit and childish but when cheesy midrange/wobble is made at 140 is considered innovative/cool.
I bet even the spazziest wobbler out there or the cheesiest pop tune means something to someonepreacha wrote:how about fuck the labels and only release music that means somethingRob Sparx wrote:They're keeping whats on the album top secret but apparently there is some deep tunes on there, I'm looking forward to hearing it. Can't decide on this. It does sound very similar to the rest of Nero's remixes but if i heard it through a big system i might not be as arsed.
