the q & a ... q & a thread ...

Post by tripaddict » Tue Aug 25, 2009 2:37 pm

can we not have a sub forum for specific software qna threads ?

would make finding what your looking for easier and also help pool data in one central location ?

* edit * and topics on specific software could be made stickies if there was enough demand ?

.... and posts could be copied and pasted from here to the q&a threads forum if they are relevant ?

would be a really good guide for beginners to more advanced producers.

maybe we could have a SUB sticky, which did not have a discussion about sub in it but links to all the different sub threads ( with the title of the thread in the link)

This would work well because a thread that is 10 pages long is hard to handle, especially if say on page 5 someone asked a different question which really deserves its own thread...

This could be done with other topics too. This way it would be more like a referencing system for the whole forum. It would have to be maintained by someone, who could periodically add the new threads that have a decent discussion in them...

This discussion board is excellent (once I arrived hear I have never felt the need to go anywhere else for questions to be answered). Some sort of decent system for storing topics would be good. :)
