What is standard for the big guys to DJ/Produce on? Ive been reading on here for a while and have become more interested in all the different equipment used such as Serito etc and as I said was just wondering what is industry standard

there is no industry standard for dubstep

pick any of the below

cubase

fruity

logic

ableton :wink:

energy xt

reason

renoise

etc etc

traktor/scratch -> for mixing mp3s


cd decks -> dubs burnt to cd


technics/stanton/numark tables -> vinyl releases/dubplates/time coded vinyl


everyone uses different shit tbh - as they well should - different kit compliments the user needs/personality

start off on music maker 12/14
download a bunch of samples
make some tunes..
then replicate those tune,but making your own melodies and drum patterns on any peice of software..

there is no standard,the same as there is no standard hair cut or shoe taste..
just try everything and work out whats the best for you..
