anyone interested in a portable sound proof booth?

Post by 62down » Wed Sep 02, 2009 9:56 pm

hi there this is a little bit of a strange auction apart from looking like some sort of murderers lair - this also works as a soundbooth . totally soundproof - or very close. it is made by bilsom in sweden - who manufacture industry standard hearing safety. i think it was first made for people to monitor hearing and such. however i got hold of it for recording purposes. as you can see its not mint - but it is very sturdy and needs a little tlc just to get the paneling kosher. The interface for inputs either side may need a little work also. There is a double glassed side on it. it was originally made in such high quality - quality that has allowed it to be so sturdy for so long. This really could be a great asset to any home producers. or small studio owners. but i must warn you it is very big - imagine a human sized fridge! but its really great - i welcome questions and viewings. also - it will be pick up only. grab yourself a rare and wicked bargain. cheers for looking.

if there was a screaming girl inside there, would you be able to hear it from the outside?

He may have made a dig at you because of the whole

"why would anyone pay good money to buy something your selling" comment.

@op I'd include some specs for that thing, atm I'd say it would be big enough to house 1 vocalist + 1 mic? or does it have more room for other purposes besides a vocal booth?

(I have no money for even a microphone btw so I'm ruled out :( )

jokes.

you can basically fit one person and mic stand in there - but they aint got that much room to get all emotional with their hands if you know what i mean

its good tho - but you need space.

dnb arena came with some good ones .
