I actually think the track posted is facking sick just needs some more work on the transition aspect! keep doing ya thing..I was one of those who didn't really wouldn't use sub genres but even I am now subgenreing myself cause I don't wanna be put in the same boat as producers who're doing a totally different thing for me...I mean we're all people but its our individuality what makes us unique, after all that's why we all have names so whats wrong with saying "trancestep" or whatever.

Its nice seeing you being influenced by dubstep (guessing you're a trance head) anywho!

lol yea just my label - not got any staff yet so its DIY at the moment! I'm producing trance for Armada but not written much crossover stuff yet thats more Numbernin6's style, lots of his tunes forthcoming on Migration. We've got one collab on the go that sounds very Hybrid/progressive in style but on my own im more interested in producing 4-4 trance/electro with dubstep basses than trancey dubstep as thats not been done yet and obviously working with a larger label has its advantages

Big up for doing different stuff although going on the first sample it isn't really my bag to be honest. Gonna keep listening tho. :)

'Breathe' on my myspace is a BIT trancey.

Shameless self promotion.

have a listen to any rdubz tunes floating around in the dubs section. he doesn't mind going off on a trancey dubstep tip.

nb. not all his tunes are like this so if your hear a straight dub tune first time don't persume im talking breeze!!

the thing with trying to fuse trance and dubstep is that theyre pretty much opposite on every level.
in dubstep the melody is implied mainly by the bass, whereas in trance the lead is the melody and the bass is just there to fill it out.
then one is dark and doesnt generally follow normal scales and the other clasically melodic.

not gonna happen basically.

Agree, very fair point in the opposites, yet this is why its appealed to me to try and find a crossover point

disagree obviiusly due to my attemtps lol

personally i think a number of my tunes have found a crossover point, not necessary at the same time, but crosses evenly from one genre to another, (dont wanna seem bigheaded)

yet u may feel different.

I respect anyone's attempts to find their way to an original way to express themselves, and it's always good when people don't want to be constrained by artificial genre boundaries in their desire to follow the creative urge.

However....

Fuck trance.
