I use AudioHijack on Mac, not sure if it's PC.
Total recorder is good for PC

The fact that he can jack vocals from some seriously dodgy tracks and make them sound awesome is sick.

There's a song on untrue which sounds like table tennis being played, I imagine it's a film sample, it's on one of the beatless songs.... :o

Agreed, they sound nothing like the original.

In terms of vocal tones, you can't beat a really poppy RnB track. Pitch them up or down and you get that classis garage type sound. Synkro also uses this technique and has sampled some VERY poppy tracks that I wouldn't ever listen to in their original form.
Out Now:
DD005 - Retrospect
MRS029 - Connected/Lovin' You
DAR010 - Santogold - Shove It (remix) 12"
SET003 - Bob Marley - Is This Love (remix) 12"
Echodub Loves Volume 2 - White Room
FTW Records Digital - Panic Room
FTW Free Compilation - Get Up (a.k.a Symphony)

Horses for courses, i like to use vocals that aren't perfectly in tune, and aren't taken from an R+B tune, hearing Indian chanting, mezzuin chants prayers and folk stuff, can give you a much more 'ghostly' and 'realistic' effect. I use this a fair bit, but then again, I'm not saying i don't use R+B vocals!

Also it's cool to mix these vocals up, have a perfectly in tune one playing against a not so perfect vocal is far more interesting to me, plus i get more enjoyment out of it as results and counter melodies can be surprising.

Shell of Light Burial Samples

Does anyone know the female vocals in "Shell of Light?" The woman is singing "Love you so" - Who is she!? Her voice is so beautiful.
