no ones telling you that you have to like skream, but saying that he shouldn't be "plastered over every dubstep affiliated event" is basically underlining your motivations for making this thread. are you not getting enough bookings? without skream and a few others, this scene and forum wouldn't exist. end of story...

Scarcity
you're entitled to your opinion
but
how many times have you been to Skream gigs,
particularly since 06?
Sure there were times when the piss made it loose
but what about the bass-sizzle gigs
when the sun shone at night?
It's not about his prodiguous outpourings,
it's about his arcane understanding of sub-bass.
Good onya for your honesty cos we need more of that
(presuming you're not an egotripping shitstirrer)
but you are so wrong
that you are brushed-fly worthy.

its not just about his tunes, hes a badman selector. if you'd seen him smash glo bar in cardiff either time you would know(was crowd surfing the second time!!). always knows what to reach for, always comes with something deep, even in the biggest room.

Some tracks I love, some I hate. But no one can doubt what he's done for the genre

OP: You may not like skream's material. But what he's done for the scene is more than enough to justify his status.

Like it or not, he's a badmon

He is good producer and has made a lot of quality tunes but i do understand where this guy's coming from. When there's just a few big producers in the same it makes it a lot harder for the little men to shine through. Still, you can't take anything away from Skream.... he's done a lot.... but he's a shit DJ.

Too bad to see such venom towards someone who's done so much.

I tuned into Skream a few years ago and his sound was incredible then and it's only gotten better. To think that he was just a boy when he made some of these tracks... Its truly been a pleasure watching young Oli progress, keep up the good work badman. I'm traveling 450 miles to see your show in Denver at the end of the month- can't wait!

Oh and I can't believe no one has mentioned Metal Mouth 8) One of my most fiended-for dubs...

He's the first dubstep artist I heard and the one that got me into dubstep, so there's no way he's overrated.
