Preset? Ok, i take a synth keyboard with SFX, maybe even an arp and somebody else plays it on a track or live. It sounds good, but i dont worry about whether its a preset or from scratch. They implement it. period. And, what isnt a preset anyway? Its almost like me bashing someone for using a square wave. It has a preset wave (obviously) but, you can do whatever you want with it.

My point is that making music thats meaningful to a person is whatever they want. even if it has a preset or two. It doesnt mean its a lack of creativity at all. Its what you do with those sounds.

In music, you can do whatever you want.
