bass

Post by slacknote » Sun Sep 13, 2009 8:20 pm

What massively surprises me is that you don't loose the bottom end after you've slapped a distortion, an overdrive, a chorus and a phaser across your synth.
I've been trying to do this with other VSTs, since I don't use Fl Studio, to no avail so far.
Any tips?

I'm not really sure to be honest :? I usually use 3x Osc cause my computer can handle it and I can make pretty nice sounds with it.

I don't think it's the synth but the plugins after the synth.
Nice tutorials!

I'm going to see if I can get the same result with other VST(i)s.

Well I tried to use Wasp with the same mixer track and lost some bass. Maybe 3x Osc is just a good synth =D

Very nice tutorials. I like how incorperated almost every aspect of a dubstep song. I recently finished a tutorial just on how to make the bass sample wobble. I used a combo of Free Filter, Formula Controller and Env Controller but your way is much easier. =p

might post it on here soon actually.

nice job

I'd love to see that tut man! I always wanted to know more about the Formula Controller so to see it used in a tutorial for Dubstep = AWESOME

Right, now swap the plugins for some VSTs, if that still works it's the synth.
