I think if the Plastiq, Plastic, Plastik, Plastique, Plastiq etc (Basically the whole Plastic thing) is out of bounds it would be wise to name yourself something already associated with yourself, such as "Terrorhythm".

You already have a label called that and everyone knows you run that so why not call yourself Terror Rhythm the name is big and everyone knows its you.

I think Plastic or Plastiq would be better but if they are already taken then Terror Rhythm is the next safe and bets thing.

Big up.

Haha fubar, I was thinking of doing that.

"Claim Pants" is by far the best one yet. "Catnap Slim" is pretty great too. That's a killer cowboy name.

Catnap Slim....LOL

Funny, I was going to start a thread about whether or not Hawtin was aware of you mate. I guess he is. :(

How about:

Imposed Change
Changeling
Drastic
Second Alias
Plastic Rhythm
Re-Issue
Recycle (as in recycled plastic. Kind of got an enviro message, too!)

or...

Plasticman Doesn't Make Techno Asshole

Or perhaps some inspiration could be found here:

Hey Plastic, despite this being a royal pain in the ass, at least you could get some free publicity from it.

Think about it.

Obviously many more people know about Hawtin's alias than they do about yours. Work this to your advantage.

Contact all of magazines and media you can, and inform them of this imposed change - the larger publications which wouldn't normally cover anything grime/dubstep related.

As a story, this is probably interesting/quirky enough to get a you at least a few snippets articles throughout several magazines, maybe more. You'll get a lot of free exposure - sure better than paying for advertising.

Of course, all of Hawtin's fans will hate on you - but is that really so bad?

Oh, and best of luck with choosing a new name!

So far, I'd say PMan sounds better, if you want to keep the relation to the old name. Or... Ticman? Tikiman doesn't seem likely to sue you, especially because now he is Paul St. Hilaire, maybe because he had to change his name too... oh god.

Hahaha. Would have been entertaining.

I've decided on a name now - it's not too dis-similar from the old one but still different enough.

I'll announce it over the weekend with a few more updates and stuff.
