There aren't many labels in Drum & Bass that can claim to be '10 years in the game'. Throughout jungle's history, countless imprints have come and gone without leaving a lasting legacy. Only the strongest survive and now, Technique Recordings joins that elite list, celebrating a decade on the dancefloor.
The brainchild of Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith, Technique Recordings has become one of the most consistent and successful imprints around. From the first single 'Future Tech', through the undisputed anthems , 'Junglist (which reached number 60 in the national charts)', 'Stigmata' and 'I Need Your Love', to recent smashes 'Cold Turkey' 'Body Pump' and 'Belly Dancer', it's maintained a constant presence on the world's dancefloors, and received rotation nearly every top DJ on the planet.
To celebrate this landmark in their history, Technique in conjunction with trackitdown.net and Knowledge (http://www.Kmag.co.uk) are exclusively releasing ‘I Need Your Love’, one of the very early Technique releases from Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith for the first time in digital format. This exclusive release also contains 7 free remix stems in WAV format. The remix parts can be used freely in your productions but those of you wishing to be in with a chance of having your remix judged and potentially released on Technique then you have 4 weeks to submit an entry to trackitdown. The entries will be judged by Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith with the winning remix receiving a digital release on Technique along with £50 worth of sample packs from trackitdown.

Re: 10 Years of Technique – Exclusive Track + Remix Competition
Man, they are cheeky. You pay to download the stems, you submit your work and if they pick it you don't even get a percentage of gross? Just £50 of sample packs, cheeky fuckers.
You'd be better off buying the stems, doing an insane remix and putting it out on your own or on another label. All you'd have to do in that case is credit the original samples to them. Still, I suppose if you're a killer producer but want a leg up promotion wise you might decide it's a wise decision...
