GLASGOW 18/09 TRG & JACK SPARROW @ FORTIFIED

This September sees the return of Fortified to their regular haunt at the Art School, and coming with us to celebrate will be Fortified favourite and prolific beatsmith TRG. Since TRG's first release for Subway in 2007, he has been putting out 12" after 12" without any sign of letting up so far. What makes him different from other produces who seem to release everything they make is that TRG doesn't seem to have let a bad one go yet, and by the way things are looking, probably never will. His first 12" for Hessle "Put You Down/Broken Heart" is a bonafide Bass classic, the Martyn remix of which is a guaranteed roof raiser wherever its dropped. He's soon to be cutting more tracks for Tempa, arguably the perfect home for TRG's music. He has also just contributed to the latest in the acclaimed FACT mix series, showcasing his new housier sound. Tag-teaming with him on the night will also be fellow pirate-in-arms Jack Sparrow. Jack has been a long-time mucker of Fortified, making his debut Scottish appearance with St Pokes not long after our inception. Since then he has gone from strength to strength, laying down slabs for Senseless, Contagious and Tectonic, the latter of which he is just about to release a full length album for. These two are sure to keep the post-summertime-blues at bay whilst giving you a taste of what Fortified aims to bring you in the coming cold months. Sound for the evening will be brought to you by the formidable Bass Alliance Sound System, newly tweaked and ready to warp the support beams.

Set times will be decided on the night, as we usually do.

Just pay at the door, but get there early as you can, before it fills up with art school freshers. There should be quite a lot of em as its a freebie.
