nah... single on a cd-5 (maxi). also had it on coldfront records (reissue). but this was the Frankie Bones rework. Got some of the rarest bits these days though. Buit nothing touches my Orb collection. I have ALMOST everything from The Orb. Also a many MBM rarieties. Not selling either.

I killed him...

smashed him with the guitar, he got knocked to the ground, bleeding out of his head, screaming, so I kinda got upset and scared because of the screaming so I took one of those guitar strings and wrapped it around his tongue, then pulled the string so his tongue sliced off... FUCK, he's still making noise, I kicked him on the head a good couple of times but the fucker just wouldnt go down, blood is everywhere, on my hands, ON MY FUCKING HANDS, I took the broken guitar and smashed is again against his head, more blood, JESUS!

He's yelling, it sounds like he's trying to say something, but talking without tongue is impossible,... I took plastic straps to cuff him and dragged him to my basement where I tied him to a chair... I took my can of lighterfluid and just emptied that on the fucker... FUCK, MORE BLOOD, I need to wash it off... I lighted a sigaret, inhaled some, then pushed the sigarete out on his eye instantly igniting the fluid... fuck AL THAT NOISE, THE SCREAMING FUCK FUCK FUCK, he's burning now, I think he's dead, well, the screaming stopped, thats a plus... FUCK... what should I do,... it's a mess, my clothes are dirty, DIRTY!!! all that blood and the smell OH MY GOD THE SMELL, it makes me want to vomit.... acid coming up my thorat, BWWUAARGHHH, fuck... I need to clean myself, there's blood everywhere... I'm dirty... so dirty... need to wash it off, scrubb it off... blood everywhere

That's not fair really. If you're making all your patches from scratch (which you ought to be) you've got to understand synthesis and there's a lot of skill in that. That's all pretty true, though comparing a bit of riff on guitar to a whole tune on logic is a bit biased. I'd say that it'd probably be easier for a musician to learn to produce rather than visa versa. I've spent years learning cello to 7/8 standard as well as time learning to produce and find production easier as there's already the knowledge of musical theory there. Essentially it's just a case of knowing where everything is, though obviously that takes time to learn properly. I'd like to see a producer pick up a cello though and automatically have an idea of what he was doing.
Should probably add though that'd they'd be equally difficult starting from scratch. Cubase is a blag for anyone, no matter how much experiance you have.

I see your point but I was only using the guitar as an example because invariably the people I meet who think electronic music production is a piece of piss are rock fans who worship guitarists. Most guitarists are (like me) just people who picked up the most convenient way of writing tunes, which when I was growing up was learning to play guitar to a basic standard. These days it's probably more convenient to teach yourself the basics of music production. Neither is more valid than the other. It's a means to an end.

I don't doubt the skill involved in learning any instrument to Grade 8 level though. I wouldn't have the dedication!
