I won't claim I'm a regular-- just been to a couple sets. But I don't think it's fair to name the DJs necessarily, as the biggest factor inhibiting the experience was the crowd (as is too often the case in NYC, more gawking and less moving). But I'm sure the t&b crew will be a different draw...

always a handful of gawking scenesters but i have been to many t&b nights that have raged. i plan on dancing my legs clean off.

well become a regular and hopefully we will change your mind. be the party starter. it's not the venue's fault that scenesters don't dance.

that being said, i ask because it's in my best interest that you enjoy yourself there and keep coming back. hopefully our run of bass heavy shows coming up will change your mind.

see you on the dance floor

So I was in the neighborhood (I go to NYU) today so I dropped by the box office at LPR. I was planning on acquiring my tix for Skream and Benga but the dude there said it wasn't even in his system (however we confirmed it on the venue calender... just not the ticketing system I guess...).

Has anyone tried buying tickets online? Does that work? I found it all a bit odd... but I'll be pissed if I'm getting charged 18 instead of 15 for no good reason.

Yes, 3 dollars makes a difference to me.

successfully avoid? what have you heard.

people.. its live music that you like and a loud ass full range system with lights.. put your nose down and dance

the tickets are probably available through t&b or fixed. they sometimes limit the amount they release through us, if any.

Hey - honestly not heard much good or bad, which I suppose is a slightly bad thing? I'd prefer to hear good!

HOWEVER, I'll fully admit that It's the "always a queue of people even when it's mega early making me think the bouncers are creating a queue just to make the place seem busy" and the clientele (I happen to walk by on nights where skanky dresses and heels are the rage, not that I'm against that stuff, just not what makes me go "shit, I HAVE to go there" 1st impressions at a club) that makes me want to not go in.

Totally basing my "successfully avoiding" on 1st impressions and 1st impressions only - happy to chat more over a beer tonight tomorrow if you care to pick my brain :)

No dramas!
