im not going to say anything negative about this, how ever i am wondering if there is another way to go about getting into commercial radio with our craft.i will simply pose a few questions instead.is it not better to get this accomplished with original material?i live and work here in sf and i have been conducting a social experiment here in my work....playing dubstep in the back ground.people love it.they comment all the time.last night 4 people asked me how to find the particular artist we were listening to at the time.i say this to illistrate the point that people are ready.but if we hit the market with some of the most comerical music we can ,do we do our craft any justice?

this commercial radio accomplishment could be handled differently.big record labels pay for bar codes and radio shows play songs with barcodes.if you want your music played on radio then you have to get it to someone at that staion.....i.e.if you want to be on xm you have to know someone and you have to have a barcode so sales and plays can be tracked.i understand that this process is expensive but imo it is the right way to go.the barcodes dont stop with radio though.if we are going to talk about commercial marketing then it is important to remember that if you want to see dubstep in movies then this is also the way.please reconsider what we are talking about here.lets not cut cornners and then say its good enough.i love this craft and i gave up a place in commercial music production to have a nice place in underground music.i support brining attention to our sound but not at the cost of what makes it great.
