Carlisle dubstep
hi i'v just moved into the ca2 area and i wondered if their was any Dubstep in this city or any nearby by train? i'm thinking any regular nights or upcoming gatherings and/or raves?
Re: Carlisle dubstep
theres a night called lockdown in Carlisle but its mainly dnb. i think your nearest bet is newcastle where you have nights like heavyweight, white elephant, deviate and others. a good place to look is newcastlebeats.com for most northern things

Lockdown have a night in the Melting Pot on the 30th September and the upstairs room is Dubstep all night.
Time
30 September at 22:00 - 01 October at 04:00
Location
The Melting Pot
Fisher Street
Carlisle, United Kingdom
Created by:
Lockdown Carlisle, David Henderson, David Rodigan Mamo, Steven Wright
More info
Its been a long time coming but now fresher and funkier than ever before Lockdown is back!
Making ourselves at home in our new residence, The Melting Pot, in Carlisle we have a venue to be proud of. One of Carlisle's newest clubs and the only club dedicated to dance music in the whole city, the sound and decor is truly stunning.
Friday September 30th welcomes our relaunch party. With some of our favourite DJs from previous events alongside new local DJ talent. Our emphasis is on the music played not who is playing it and if you have enjoyed any of the Drum and Bass and Dubstep you may have heard this year from the likes of Chase & Status, Nero, Rusko, Skream, Netsky, Danny Byrd etc then Lockdown has a whole lot to offer.
The Main room will be headlined by NoFace a Lockdown favourite and a name getting increasingly popular in his home town of Glasgow. He plays very eclectic sets combining excellent tune selection, mixing skills and turntable trickery to great effect! Warming up will be resident GavD and a good friend of Lockdown travelling up from Wales DJ Bob. Warming up the lovely new sound system will be Ed Thomas. On Mic duties we welcome one of the UK's brightest MC talents E=MC to give the basement the hype this night will surly serve up!
The upstairs bar will be wobbling and screeching to the current sounds of Dubstep all night. Main sets by Nathan Sutherland and Gareth Hocking by which time they should have recovered from some epic sets at Solfest alongside DJ GMix our newest resident and Carlisle's own DJ Doc.
