yeah, i'd think stairwell would be good to listen to while doing dishes, feeding the hamster, taking out garbage, climbing a mountain, watching baseball, throwing a frisbee, eating twizzlers....
DUDE, this song is sick! who cares where you listen to it? listen to it on the toilet and it will probably make that more enjoyable.

oh
this tune is so sick
this thread is coming back into the homepage.
i generally think burial's a bit over-rated but this is ridiculous.. surely there's still a hope that this will be on the next burial release; there hasn't been one since Untrue, right?

To fast to listen to chilling at home, yet wouldn't go down well when being played out, so whats the big fuss? I don't quite understand when this song has a use? Do people really enjoy listening to this at home?
You obviously haven't seen Kode 9 play it to 400 people in a Theatre in Liverpool like I have, because this goes down more than well, the place exploded.
Me and my mate nearly spontaneously combusted. That was January 2008

Burial is a fucking boss. I love how his music is so dark, it's very fitting for me sometimes.
I tried to show a couple tracks to one of my buddies and he said he "wasn't a fan" that it was "too dark".
I just laughed and said I understand. Not everybody can hang with Burial's darkness - and I like it that way.

It's all about Lambeth for me, aswell as an untitled track with a vocal throughout with is abit too much, I could play both tracks on repeat...
Dark angel, fall from the heavens above, send me an angel to heal my heart from being in love... After all of the love for you, in my life, but it wasn’t good enough for you, I can’t take no more tears from my eyes.... But it wasn’t good enough for you, I can't take no more hurt from that time....

Shame is by the time it's released, everyone will have listened to the youtube clip and the mix so much, it'll be like, a few minutes of enjoyment and then boredom. Okay going a little over the top but you get my gist.
Happens with so many tunes. There's an amount of pre-release time that makes a tune seem special and more exciting, but the amount of time things take these days, is just ridiculous. Dissapointing.
If it's not going to come out, don't broadcast it! Then everyone dosen't have to suffer with years of a low quality 30 second clip. Well, thats how I feel sometimes anyway.
I'm sure there's some kind of philosophy behind the timing, like trying to get it when the market's right to boost sales, or trying to get a number of tracks that sound right together for an explosive album. But I think the initial success has pressured the rest of the stuff to be held right back in order to make things 'perfect', when infact it just starts to spoil the whole experience for the people who are really into, and following the sound.
Still, I wont be moaning when things like this come out.
