Whats the deal with sampling things are you allowed to do this? do you have to get permission b4 doing so?

Legally, you need to license samples. Morally it's up to you I guess.

If you're releasing something for profit, I would absolutely license the sample. It's the right thing to do.

If you going to release it you must contact them before you do, and if they say no then you really cant do anything about it, dont risk it just look at what happened to vanilla sky.

I agree, dont worry too much about sampling unless your making a shit load of money for lawyers to steal.
