Dope. The only thing is maybe that synth is a bit too loud, it drowns out the drums quite a bit? You could try sidechaining it to the kicks or something. Awesome though, I'd be keen to hear it once it's finished.would really appreciate some critique and feedback on this track.

I really like the atmosphere in this. Overall, just smooth out the corners. The treble kind of hit me unpleasantly around the :05, mark. Try setting the attack slower on the instrument or maybe try fading in the channel. The drums are too clicky for my taste, I would like to hear the drumsound itself and not the click. Maybe free up some headroom for the drums to balance it out better.coyotepeyote wrote:would really appreciate some critique and feedback on this track.

Not bad. I'd bring the drums up a bit, maybe pan some elements out to widen your stereo image. Kick drum's a little softish.
I like the bass patch and some of the stuff you did with the support synths.
Just made this tune, here's the first draft. Feedback/Comments/Criticism?

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
The sample is cool... I think you need to do something with the snare though. maybe make it a bit stronger or add some reverb? it lacks something. also, the main lead sound needs more variation... it gets a bit repetitve. maybe add in some rises and sweeps throughout? or maybe just an effect at the end of every 4 or 8 measures?djaccel wrote: Just made this tune, here's the first draft. after that "shoot them in the head part", you should throw in some weird zombie or monster sound followed by gunshots. that would be cool

you've got a nice start here.

Mate i love this, i think you need to tone the vocals down a bit, put a limiter on it, the vocals are a bit loud, maybe a bit of subtractive eqing is in order squire, but overall i think its solid, you nearly blew my speakers though innit.

Wondering what you guys thing of this?! particularly in regards to the high pitched bleepy noise, cheers
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bass is perhaps a tad scratchy, something smoother sitting under it might sound slightly better.
The lyrics sound like they are skipping or something. not sure ifts a delay reverb effect or if it its conflicting sounds, try fcosuing your bass a little lower and your lyrics a tad higher :S
Also work on the general level of your mix, right now it is very loud, not sure if it is clipping :S but it definately sounds messy...
Otherwise the idea is stella and it is all sounding rather good

I'm thinking that once it drops you should kill the volume of the piano a bit, and focus on the bass alot more,

Really nice sounding, however its all quite deep sounding, nothing stands out to strongly lots of things all working for the bass space, I would consider eqing or pitching the vocals to make them slightly higher, also high pass the reverb so that the lyrics remain up top and easy to hear and focus on, maybe the same could be said for fade in and out noise, as that hits at the same time as the bass and distorts the two slightly i thinkcorpu5 wrote:Hey guys, i've started working on my second dubstep track, well second track ever, im not really sure where to go with it, i know the drums need improving but im just out of ideas really, what do you think the good points of the track are? what do you think i should keep/change.

Nice sounding, maybe work something more intersting out with the drums, I know the focus is on the synth, which all sounds good and moves lots, but it doesnt feel like its particularly strong, get a synth with more bass to accompany it, so that it really womps hard...rickmansworth wrote: Just made this tune, here's the first draft. Its sounding awesome, like the vocal walk in at the beginning and the littel noises dotted around in the background...drenster wrote:Would appreciate any crit from anyone, and will gladly return the favor, if you would like. peace

The pads in the background sound like they are cloaking the first wobble, and then when the bass is added so two are competeing a bit, I think once the sound drops those pads should go down a bit, and focus on the bass with some of those noises dotted around, it cleans up by the end actually, so maybe just look at the first half, also the windhcime sounding hats are quite disorintating sometimes, not sure they last for a quantized amount of time :S
Anyway its sounding class, keep on working,
Wouldn't mind some feedback on the post above

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
Not bad. Maybe add some more drums or sounds to the intro to break it up a bit, and it might be cool to use a filter or something to bring the track up before the drop.
Just updated this tune, changed up and reworked some drums, and changed the second drop up from the first a bit.

Started working on this baby last night. I'm already changing the Right-panned hi hats as they were thrown in quick from some samples just to fill the space (the gist is there though).
