Meh.. using Circle as my main synth, host is Renoise.

Help, please!
the second one isnt that bad, you could either try a sine wave played at a high octave with quite a wet reverb on it, or find a percussion liek wave form and layer it with a small amount of white noise and again apply reverb. as for the frst one, i have no fucking idea.

Haha, thanks man. I tried that before but it didn't sound, but now I did and it does. I think I sort of 'glamorize' the sound in my head, in the song itself and when I try to make my own patches, they're not as bad as they actually are, if that makes sense.

Thank you for your help.

I thought someone had posted this one and i've been trying to figure it out since, but it was a different song they posted and I was working on the wrong thing. Anyway, it's been bugging me since and I can't figure this shit out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQZd3iePttk

How the hell does he get this sound going? The lead bass kinda thing, starts off tight and opens up to sound kinda floppy or like gargling. First hits at about 47-48 seconds maybe, then again when the beat drops. Kinda sounds like a digerydoo or an elephant fart.

Cn anyone help me with this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq4tyDRhU_4

I fucking hate the editors and every other tune they've ever made, but i like the 80s sound to this track and would love to make a synth sound like the one at 1:00. It sounds like a very common synth used in a few 80s synth pop tunes i've heard, but how could i go about recreating it in a VST? Or is there any emulation synths that can make this sound? Or maybe a sample or even the name of the synth. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The bass "whomp" sort of stab thing? LFO or envelope on the bass controling the cut off. Can't really give any more info than that as i'm not the most advanced synthesizer (what is the actual term used for someone who synthesizes sounds btw), hence me posting here too :D. Hopefully you can get something close to the sound with the tiny bit of info i offered, but that does sound like all it is to me.

The bass sound that EL-B is famous for. It is played at 1:00 min mark here.

Is this just one waveform? or did they have a sub, and then layer something an octave higher on top with shit loads of reverb?
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Sounds like sub sine + square wave, with a modulated low-pass filter. Basically a standard garage stab, but lower.

modulating how tho? I have been messing with the filter but its not getting anywhere near this.

I have been trying to do this for a while now with a number of different synths:(

Thanks. I just had a quick skip thru it (at work). I see what he does with the sound but I dont think he shows how to actually make the sound? he get it from his keyboard but the sound is already there to start with? unless I missed a bit.

I think it's just a lower note he's playing. It's the keyboard that made the sound.

Yeh the keyboard makes the sound but, how?:) what is it he is doing and which waveforms etc. Its a classic sound that must be possible to create on other synths

thats like a sub(pure sine) with a grittir sine on top fer interset, what you do mate is have a filter, and assign an evelope to it turn up teh attack turn up teh release a bit, and fiddle. id go into more detail but i really cba, its not too bad when ya get the hang of it

0:15. how the heck do you get a sound that hollow and wishywashy? I know there's a sinewave added underneath, but I've been fucking around on Albino and Blue for ages, can anyone else crack it?

i was messing around with re sampling i had built a bass patch and put a peak controller on the mixer channel to control the wet of the reverb so that you get just wet when there is no note playing sample the wet pitch it down then reverb again with setting to match the track
