CD Decks

I apologies for starting a new topic for this but i cant work the new search, too much information comes up!!

Basically i need to buy one cheap CD deck. It seems silly for me to use only vinyl when some big tunes dont see a vinyl release.

Im looking to spend about £100-£150, and all it has to do is have a pitch adjust, and a wheel on the top to speed up and slow down, and thats really it! just basic stuff really. (having an auto cue function would be pretty handy )

I want something cheap, but i also want something reliable, so CDs wont randomly skip or not play, and the deck wont break after 6 months

I know someones going to say "use google" but I like getting advice from people who have had experience with the thing and not just a company trying to sell it to me because obviously they are going to make it out to be better than it is.

Also any recomendations on where to buy it from as well? Ive only ever bought equipment off mates so im pretty clueless when it comes to where to buy stuff

CDJ-400's are awesome. You don't even really need to use CDs, you can plug USB jump drives into the top of them filled with dubs and spin with those. I have half a dozen jump drives with my entire collection on them. Good stuff.

I Just brought a CDJ200, seems like a good cheap....ish deck that will stand the test of time.

i used to campaign for dj's to only use vinyl until i realised all the tunes i could pick up on 320....now ive stabbed vinyl in the back.

I've had gemini cdj-02 decks for over a year and they've served me well, got them from here http://www.decks.co.uk/products/cdplayers/gemini/cdj02
it says they're discontinued but you should be able to find a cheap one somewhere.

i was havin the same issue so i got a pioneer cdj 100 second hand off ebay. it was in top condition and cost £112, im very happy with it. pitch adjust takes some getting used to but after that it does the job well. its got 3 special effects, a jog wheel for speeding up and down and master tempo. maybe go to a dj store and try some of the basic models out then look on ebay for a 2nd hand one

if i was you id save up for serato or something similar, i had a cdj800, along with my 2x 1210s, and then decided to sell my cdj in exchange for serato, had havent looked back since, best thing ive ever invested in imo

He's right i would defo get a dvs system over 1 cdj...

Not any more so than learning on 1210's and using a CDJ alongside IMO...

dont get anything but pioneer in my opinion. i was looking at all the cheap stuff, and recently bought a set of cdj200's, and they are excellent. was going to get soem gemeni's until i really read up on them and really found out how tacky and cheap they are. you do get what you pay for. I was looking at getting something really cheap, but when i thought about it, i would replace them with something better in the future, so thought id invest in something which would see me through for at least a few years.

If you've already got vinyl decks then it's probably worth getting torq which you can pick up for under £150 which will let you play mp3's. Buying cdj's for that price i doubt you'd get much for your money.

I would love to have serato or something like that but i dont have a laptop and my desktop isnt normally near my decks

Can do practicly all the stuff the Pioneer cdjs can do and its really good build quality, I would highly recomend if you dont want to splash out on a new pioneer cdj

If not then the Axis 4 - http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR147221 is just as good with out all the extra effects etc built in
