Burial to work with Massive Attack
Re: Burial to work with Massive Attack
I really hope it's legit... Two of my definite favorites working together. That's insane...

Re: Burial to work with Massive Attack
It's almost like the perfect combination. Hope this idea follows through

"What the plan is... you know that Mad Professor record that we did? (1995's 'No Protection'). Essentially trying to get that together, where Burial essentially remixes quite a lot of the new tracks. Brings out a different version of quite a lot of the tracks that we've done".
I love that Mad Professor vs Massive Attack record, I still listen to it.
This collab sounds amazing, but we'll have to wait and see..

indeed. could see this dissipating...or becoming lost on a HD & become a mythical 'white whale' album...but when/if released i'll take 2.intoccabile wrote:I'll believe it when I hear it.
why do people still anticipate a dj kicks, didn't burial kinda debunk that rumor himself here:

*i guess he doesn't totally debunk it, but far from any sort of confirmation

Very excited bout this. Luv Trip Hop: Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead. Luv Burial - he's amazin. Be a great combo.
And yeah LOL on release dates - but I'm always way way way behind all of the rest of you guys, so I dont mind. So much dubstep to catch up on

thank christ - new massive album set to be total dross, so with any luck burial can chipmunk 3d back to a point where we can actually hear whatever it is he's mumbling on about
Re: Burial to work with Massive Attack
wow im really excited for this. I knew that daddy g was into dubstep as he put on that dubstep chronicals event and i had a quick chat with him about dubstep but i would have never guessed a colaboration! really can not wait for this to come out!
Re: Burial to work with Massive Attack
Because it might as well not happen. I don't see the point of basically promising something if it's not even on the drawing board.Jubz wrote:Why, cos a bunch of kids on the internet can't control their excitement?Genevieve wrote:Not just that, I generally just think that shit like this is announced way too soon. I would appreciate a Burial mix of Unfinished Sympathy, that would be big.
