Thanks for the interview Joe. I feel like I need to pick his book up. Sounds really interesting. Also, the term hypersoul is fucking smacking that sound hyperdub pulls off.

I think he and Kodwo Eshun were using "hypersoul" way back to talk about Aaliyah / Timbaland type stuff... But yeah I agree, it fits - it fits a lot of so-called wonky too - Sa Ra, Fly Lo even bits of Hud Mo etc etc... it's like soul gone radioactive.

That night at Plastic People with FaltyDL was fantastic. Those Non Sense guys were great too! I feel what you're saying about the crowd - the atmosphere that night was the best I've experienced at PP
