Looks tasty imo, I saw a video of some guy using it to make a sick DnB improv. track... he was using it to control faders, and he was tapping out beats using samples on each of the tracks... Mental :D That said, my APC40 should be with me tomorrow so I don't think I'll need it ;)

just like anything else its a trade off

apc 40 only has 40 buttons next to the LP 64

but the apc 40 has all the knobs and faders you need (but also some midi problems i hear....)

given that they put a number after apc, its an industry given that they will have to increase that number to be able to sell the next version

so i would expect a new apc 64 or 56 next year, then possibly a massive 128 controller by someone else soon after in a constant cycle of making people regret their purchases

I was impressed, but what is so impressive?

Are the pads velocity sensitive? I don't think so, so as a drum pad? No.

Use the pads as faders? Novel, but really?

Really it looks like a great device for launching clips and scenes. But then the price actually kind of seems high for just triggering midi events and displaying a modest amount of information about the set.
