actually ran into that site a couple days ago has some good info for shows and shit...seems like dubstep and dnb are pretty popular in NZ is that true? or are most nz music listeners mainstream pop/rock?

We have quite a lot of reggae/dub history as far as tastes and it is a an island nation, dubstep, dnb, dancehall, reggae, hip hop etc all have healthy scenes here but Auckland is always the best bet as far as variety and availability of gigs....
There are mainstreamers for sure but it's quite a diverse mix of people and cultures/races here so niche interests have an extent of popularity.
