Help with drums in Logic Pro

Post by djshi » Wed Oct 14, 2009 4:01 pm

Hi,

Just wondering how the logic users on the forum currently program there drums i.e; plugins, technique, vst's etc... I'm currently not to keen on Ultrabeat, or is that what most people are using in logic?

Thanks :)

I usually just use my own samples, but the Ultrabeat has some nice kits in it, it also gives you a lot of control over your drums as well - you just gotta take time to mess around with it.

ultrabeat is rewarding, but ya gotta put some time in to it, i was kinda thrown off by it at first, but use it now. I also use Battery 3, which i love for making my own kits.

i arrange my drums on audio tracks using drum samples i've collected over the years, used to use battery 3 but i much prefer doing my drums as audio.

some manner of real instruments, audio, ultrabeat, exs kits, battery, stylus rmx, hardware, and au synths. minimoog is great for white noise sounds and swooping kicks.
