best entertainers

Post by dubbledecker » Fri Oct 16, 2009 10:17 pm

saw joker again at custard factory recently and while he always plays an epic set he sometimes seems a bit static behind the decks and it's not obvious he's enjoying it. while i'm sure that's not the case and i accept they have to concentrate bloody hard it got me thinking who was the best dj for entertainment value that i've seen
i've seen a few who really work up a sweat and that's what i like to see but for me rusko really sticks out as someone who clearly is having a fucking good time. for me it makes it all the better if i can see other people including the dj's having a great time and he certainly seems to be more energetic than anyone else i've seen
just wonder what other people think

note-not dissing joker at all! he's my favourite dj!

Tbh i'm not bothered what a DJ does. I don't go expecting to be "entertained" by a DJ who also juggles with fire or performs acrobatics whatever.
But, yeah it's definitely a good thing if they look like they're enjoying it.

N-Type is always fun to watch and gives out the gun finger on the regular.

Heny G always has a little boogie too

Ones I've particularly enjoyed (entertainment wise) are; Rusko, Hatcha, Crazy D, Skream, and FuntCase.....

I love it when you can see a DJ is really enjoying themselves, I know it's primarily about the music but if you can see they're enjoying as much as the crowd are you feel alot more connected to it.

When I DJ I skank like crazy, and fuckin love it! Gotta be done!

Skream gets some lulzy dancing agwan
Shitmat rocks that laptop like a fucking badman and skanks harder than the crowd, often losing most of his clothes in the process, except the baseball cap
Both times I've seen Boy 8-bit I was on shrooms and mdmc. He always puts on a good show, but looking up and thinking "It's fucking bill bailey!" every 5 minutes made said shows 1000 times better.

I just thought of this constantly whilst watching him. It was Baltic Pine b2b BBC news.

Just saw N- Type in Twisted Pepper there Friday night...he was real funny and obviously really into the tunes. I think this added to his set and got the crowd going even more.Nice to see a DJ smile so much! Plus he munched one of my jelly tots at the end of his set,he played it safe, the rest of us were double droppin jelly tots all night....
