Liking this one, but djaccel is right, the build up is bigger than the drop. maybe some drum variation after the drop too. But all in all it's good imo. :)
thanks for the comments mates!
I listend to your advice and changed the drop!

at about 1:22 i like how you switch up the bass with that nice high pitched siney thing on top, seems abit repetative. Feeling the snare in it and liking the bass's just reckon it needs a bit more ideas like a few more melodys?

:e: generally feeling it though

nice one

Nice track mate, like the sorta reggae feel with the off beat nd sample feeling the bass sounds kinda weird but is interesting. The kick sounds very big and i loved the way for the drop it sorta melt into the bass

Anyone else who wants feedback, leave some crit for mine first

This is my track, looking for some feedback on it before I play it out on Friday, I'd say it's more influenced by metal than anything else, I'm going with the melodic piano thing again with that sub underneath, much darker than other recent stuff though

Soundcloud

Easy lowpass, whats good man hows its going? i seen this on sound cloud and decided to try find it on DSF

I see your on the distance piano sound again!, you cant leave them along they are too good :D always have to be used !
nice track, good vibe to it, good use of delay and reverb and its even got a wobble in it ! Great variation into the 2nd drop.

crit= need one more element i think, not a full on riff, just something that play between certain bars, ie a sax stab..?
Other then one not really much to say... just maybe need one more element other then that its quite good. it should sound good when it played out, after everything is done

btw this is not your final mix down right?
Cheers man there was actually another mix that I uploaded which sounds a little cleaner but no not the final product, I can't stop using those pianos no lol nearly added an electric guitar too for the full distance rip-off haha. You're right there is an element missing which is why I came here, I just can't work it out. Maybe I could try a sax stab or something like you said in there see how it works.

@ Bradicle - mate that made me laugh, you're on about my crit for someone elses track, but yeah the sub was too overpowering, I've lowered it in recent mixes I've done of the track. I like your track mate, I think the rises are a little overdone, I think maybe either reduce them or just use a couple of different ones, deep track though.
Its ok at least it shows the ideas and the flow of the track at a reasonable standard. Yeh me too, i allways have used them on the go ready and waiting with just the best reverb and delay all in a comb ready to go!:D haha dont feel bad, i use a real acoustic strummed guitar :) noting wrong with it.. its placed in the back of the mix, it fits into the music and i think it sounds good, and if someone else dont then thats there problem not your :) Sax or a arp would do fine tho, but if you make a arp i would suggest placing deep into the mix give the song more dimension but if its the sax place up and close so you can actually hear the long delayed stab :D going farer farer..... farer..... farer...... abit like the tape delay :e:

This thread moves so fast man, its already onto the next page !
A brand new song!

I can see what approach you are trying to take, and by no means am I an expert in the feel, but I'd beef the kick up as it feels drowned out in the current mix.

Personal preference but id also be less harsh on the chaining of the pad at the start of the bass.

Opinion of course,

On an additional note, something I started work on yesterday, I tend to work arse over tit about things so at the moment I havnt tied the intro in with the start of the bass (So theres that empty lull from the pad to bass), as I havnt fully decided how I want to go about that yet, but some general feedback and criticsm on the feel of the track so far would be appreciated.

Soundcloud

Very raw, just a couple ideas so far

too slow that mate. dubstep is usually produced around 140bpm, this is around 100.

slightly repetitive aswell.
