Pioneer CDJ-1000 or Serato + Turntables?
Which would you recommend and why? I've been using Scratchlive for a while now and am pretty comfortable with it, but I'm curious about switching over to CDJs. Has anyone tried both that can advise on preferences? Any and all input would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Serato imo.
You can use it at any gig and fuck - it no different than spinning vinyl.

I went digital a while ago and it's the best shit ever.
That being said, there are a lot of creative facilities on the CDJ1000 so it depends on your technical desires.

I use cdjs and I find them great. The only place I have ever played a gig at only had turn tables, so I had to take my own cdjs... If you can cough up I reckon serato plus decks is good because then you can get vinyl also

What about using CDJs with Serato?
This works as well...

I know CDJs work with Serato, I guess I'm more curious about what I can do differently with CDJs and Serato as opposed to decks and serato, mainly with things like loop banks and cues, which I don't really know much about.... thoughts?
Re: Pioneer CDJ-1000 or Serato + Turntables?
there are a LOT of options for loops & sample banks in Serato as well, there are different playback options and you can use the control vinyl to trigger things. Do some research, hammer the Serato forums and you can probably learn to do most things on Serato that a CDJ1000 can.phleghm wrote:I know CDJs work with Serato, I guess I'm more curious about what I can do differently with CDJs and Serato as opposed to decks and serato, mainly with things like loop banks and cues, which I don't really know much about.... thoughts?
