Great tune but time moves on. obviously there will be peoplen who won't like it now.

it's like the cat who made a thread along the lines of "Anti-War Dub is mad overrated"

it probably don't fit their idea of what dubstep should sound like (even though there are other tunes on the Skream! album that would).

it's the tune that attracted attention. there is a reason for that. it's not skream's best tune or even best tune on the album by far (for ME) but there's a reason why it gets props

I think this guy is perfectly within his rights to express his opinion on this tune, being that it's a discussion forum and that.

Personally, I thought this tune was pretty gash when it came out and haven't change my mind much since. If other people like it, then that's obviously fine.

The tune just symbolises the era when people started to take notice of dubstep...May not be the best tune out there but it means a lot to those who know. Still goes off in the dance, big up skream.

There is a BIG difference between artists that make tunes with character and artists who make tunes with great production values. Give me character every time.

Skream's tracks all have bags of attitude and personality.

This is a great point, some of the early DMZ tracks don't sound amazing production wise but they still slay any of the stuff coming out not becuase they have so much vibe and character!

Flagship. Yes. For the radio play, for it's permutation of all radio, for the amount of DJs I heard playing it. Hell yes. It was the radio-friendly, memorable tune
Best dubstep tune? Nah.
Do I like it? Yes. Will I dance to it? Yes.

What made you decide to come out with this just now Mercutio? You hear it again lately?

There's a VIP of it I heard on a Plastician show years back (JME was guesting, along with a few of the BBN crew), but I've never been able to track down, It kinda skips around the main melody for a minute or two, mostly just a bass riff, then comes in real sharp with the gunshot, and a much more techno style of kickdrum. Any clues? I know that's pretty vague.

Over-rated? Not at all.
Flagship tune? Totally.

One of the first dubstep tunes I heard and was sold immediately.

There are tunes that are much more aggy, bigger basslines, better wobbles, etc but this tune for me is still THE ONE along with Haunted.
PLEASE will someone sell me:

KRKN001 - Obeah / Wolf Man - Copenhagen Massive / Eye Of The Demon
+
WAR001 - Bob Marley (Matty G remix) - War

I love you long time

Simply put:

It was sick then, I thought it sounded well different to most grime/garage/etc around at the time, groundbreaking tune

BUT

It's like 5 years old now, OF COURSE it sounds dated, everything does after 5 years, that's called progression.
