Activision responded to the leak with the following statement: The leaked footage was taken from a copy of game that was obtained illegally and is not representative of the overall gameplay experience in Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 features a deep and gripping storyline in which players face off against a terrorist threat dedicated to bringing the world to the brink of collapse. The game includes a plot involving a mission carried out by a Russian villain who wants to trigger a global war. In order to defeat him, the player infiltrates his inner circle. The scene is designed to evoke the atrocities of terrorism.

At the beginning of the game, players encounter a mandatory "checkpoint" in which they are warned that an upcoming segment may contain disturbing elements and they can choose not to engage in the gameplay that involves this scene. Consistent with its content, the game has been given an "M" for Mature by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board. The rating is prominently displayed on the front and back of the packaging, as well as in all advertising.

Tabloids and videogames have never made for good bedfellows, seeing as the latter represents an easy target for the former. Given The Mirror has jumped the gun and attacked Modern Warfare 2 before it was released, we can only guess at the level of mayhem in the tabloids when the full game itself comes out.

lol I remember that. decent game...all the hype definitely helped it.

there was that other game that was fucked up....where you're on death row and demons take over the prison. no controversy there but it was a sick game.

i need to get another copy of fallout 3

my one ive been on has become scratched and wont read...it was a second hand copy

i guess i could buy a new one and install the game and see if it then works from the scratched disc...i could then take it back as a faulty maybe?

apparently installed games work fine from discs that are a bit scratched

some game shops also do cd repairs, they basically buffer away the scratches or something, its fairly cheap,
defo beats buying a new one!!

Same happend to me, i just brought anouther one though

. God i love that game, the dlc is sick aswel.

Download it and just use your existing CD key thingy.

I bought GTA VI today. I think I need to upgrade my video card. Again.

i tried it once but couldnt get to grips with it.

Same with Diablo 2 though really.

Dont get me wrong, i loved it! but found i could only get to lvl30-40 before i got bored and made a new character.

picked up Guild Wars a few weeks ago though, addicted

Will be getting borderlands on the 360 today though, my mate said its awesome so going to spend all day tomorow in a hungover state playing that.

Playing Forza 3 at the mo and well enjoying it. Didn't reckon much to the demo 'til I tried it with some of the assists off, then I was hooked. Fuckin' ace game.

Funny....I sratched my disc last week too. I HAVE to get another copy as I was hooked on that shit. Have Modern Warfare 2 and Halo 3 arriving in the mail soon. Also been playing resident evil 5 and Team Fortress 2 a lot.

Yeah bioware games have never really being brilliant for combat (bar mass effect, which was fairly decent). But they sure know how to write amazing stories and make it an interactive as fuck experience.

Yeah combat's not everything anyway, becuase everything else in there games is more than perfect.

i couldnt get to grips with that game! found that the it took too many bullets to kill anything, thats if you were able to hit then, thats if they didnt kill you first.

maybe i was just going at the game the wrong way.

The glowing radiation effect pissed me off aswell, i thought it may have been a graphical issue with my computer though.
