an open letter

Post by deadly_habit » Mon Nov 02, 2009 4:38 am

i've tried to kill myself multiple times as of late and for some reason my gun won't work
audio is the only passion i have left which i why i post so much
my comp is fucked so i can't make any new tunes atm
i may sound pretentious but have been asked
fabric is the only label i've been on to pay me
life without love or a passion is worthless
and next 20 mins will be spent debating to hit submit or not

So? make the most of your passion.
Some go through life without ever having one.

You and your life are whatever you make of them.

Get off the internet, get out of your house, stop any drinking and/or drugs and spend some time with friends and family.

Don't question this advice, try to (over)analyze it, or come up with any excuses. Just do it, and if it doesn't work THEN let me know. :w:

A wise person told me, it doesn't matter what you do in life so long as it makes you happy. Keep making music, but just realise we are all the same, even the bigwigs up top making money, they are also as insecure as us, they just know how to hide it.

I just hope you know you have a gift, and to use it for the greater good. Even if you feel like giving up... it would be a terrible waste if you did something silly.

good luck with what you're going through man,

all I have to add is your mental state is largely governed by your physical, so if you're an indoors'y person (like myself) and end up shut off from everybody sat in front of a computer it's going to get to you (given enough time it get's to everyone)

just make sure to give your body some kind of workout, even if it's just a quick jog or a walk around the block to get yourself some fresh air, eat more veg and with those 2 you should get some natural happy hormones (much better than those artificial happy pills that make you crash)

we're here for you

Funny you mention this, is the music the main reason for you wanting to take your life? I find that a bit strange.

I've been there before, very close to acctually dying but I pulled through. Music was the only thing thats kept me going through all these hard years. you can talk to me if you need to bro.

dude, go and see a counsellor and tell your doctor how you're feeling.

the internet is no place for solace with woes like these. I dont know you but if you seek help in the right places, the answers to your problems will become clear.

One love man.

I wont pretend to understand but ...

You are still a young buck - honestly dont write off the future.
My Wifes brother killed himself and if I could give you an ounce of the pain she still feels 20 years on you would think again for anyone you 'ever' loved.
Music will still be here when all this shit blows over ... and you have so much talent so dont waste it.

I hope you find a little comfort but never think you being out of the way will make anything any easier for anyone.

Try some new hobbies & meet some new people, don't do something silly like killin yourself. Find stuff to do now rather than worrying about what you're going to do or what you've done. If you enjoy making some music then do it, if you're not feeling like making music get out the house and do something!

I don't know you but you're a wicked poster on here and a wicked producer...choose life!

Look at it this way. I know it sounds even more depressing but it ain't. There is NO afterlife man. tough there just aint. If you kill yourslef your dead. DEAD you aint gonna be able to do anything dead. deads just boring. Suicide and attempted suicide aint nice for anybody it will make people terrified for you don't do it man. ANyway if you did who would give decent answers around here! lol

Get through it DH
