that was a quality night... i think! was drunkers like a fool.. :P  :D

Pinch was heavy, nice and busy for his set although maybe a touch quiet..

Distance smashed it hard!! excellent set

Youngsta was dutty as always (although maybe not the pure driving force from recent sets... expectations are stupidly high with him

Geeneus... BIG! by this point tho i was rather mangled.. if anyone knows geeneus please apologise my slightly too enthusiastic pull-ups!

out to everyone that was there, even the off-topic lurkers in the back room

Big, big night, one of the deepest Forwards I've been to in a while. After Pinch and Distance I wasn't sure exactly what Youngsta and Geeneus were going to do to keep it going but both rinsed their sets.

i was there, just very focused on the music, wasnt really socialising at all

i cant believe more hasnt been made of this, i thought it was a phenomenal night

pinch played some very very deep material, brewing i missed the first half, but what i heard was amazing. what the fuck was that last tune?! sounded like his own work, but at like 120bpm or something?! so fucking deep, the rhythm was ridiculous

distance played an awesome set, showing real depth and versatility in his material as well as an incredible understanding of how to work the dancefloor and raise the pressure. his album material (presumably) was sounding outrageous, some crazy new movements in all sorts of directions. needle was fucking wack though.

what on earth was that tune with the phone ringing and dialogue in the intro about people coming to get you and you must move fast etc? sounded like loefah to me, utterly ridiculous

and youngsta, i dont know what i can say about youngsta, simply one of the best dj sets ive ever seen. personally it was a combination of having lost a lot of my faith in dancefloor-orientated dubstep, not having been raving for a while, not having heard funktion 1 for a while, and having a bit of draw inside me, but it just felt so perfect... the way he varied the pressure, the in key mixing, the seamless beatmatching, the selection and programming to throw contrasts and draw links, but always seeming coherent, it was just unbelievable. and the tunes were so good

another key thing, and this isnt to say i dont rate them generally, but there mustve been like 4 rewinds the whole night. when they came, the pressure was going through the roof, it made those moments so much more.

basically completely deep night, although geeneus lost me very very swiftly, i was really hoping for more grime, but he started playing basically a dubstep set, but i just wasnt feeling it. tough acts to follow though

great explaination! Youngsta blew me away, i actually went to the front to geek it up and so i could watch him mix.
He is an INCREDIBLE DJ, he has a gift of skills and technical ability plus his tune selection is perfect. His style of mixing is second to none, everything is on point. The way he mixes, making two tunes sound like they could be ONE amazing tune, and i love that about him and his style, (dont get that much with dubstep djs i dont think, many mix and switch the tunes over quite quickly), his mixes are extended coz he proper rides them out, and really works the tunes off against eachother. Agreed Elgato, one of the best sets ive ever seen......... bless yunx, hes fuking top geezer too, and sooo modest. VOTE YOUNGSTA AS BEST DJ PEOPLE! He seriously deserves it....

Was a ridiculously good night. I'd forgotten how incredible fwd can be when the vibe is right.

the first half of youngsta's set, before he started playing all those outrageous new skream bits, was utterly brilliant. I think that was the best 40 minutes or whatever of mixing I've ever heard, in any genre.

Pinch and Distance were live too. Fallen remix on that system :o

Also, anyone know that track pinch played with the acid style video game synths and rolling drums? Tune of the night, wish the system had been louder for it :)
