SUB FM - The New Look!
Easy everyone,
Well in almost 6 years a major update has never happened to the site, just additions added on as and when something new arrived in the internet universe.
I figured it was time to totally revamp and redesign the whole of the site, from the ground up!
Well, it's been happening in the background for months, and it's time to finally reveal the brand new look SUB.FM!

There is just about a new everything!
So have a browse around and get used to the new look home of Bass!
The site has been specifically designed to function in 2 ways:
Firstly; Just to quickly jump onsite, hit a listen link and see who is playing. This couldn't be easier now. With all the listen links located right @ the very top of the site with the "On Air" info directly underneath. It's all right there, connecting in seconds.
Secondly; Just scroll down past the logo, and you can become part of the station where bass matters! just sign up and get involved! (if you already had a forum account this will have moved over to the new site, with just a few exceptions where users have strange characters in there names, and you can sign in with it, but please make sure to reduce the size of your avatar, as the new look means a smaller avatar space)
We @ Sub FM really hope you enjoy the new look!
A massive props has to go out to the people who have helped to get this project from the idea in my head to an actual reality. DopeLabs has done more to help than anyone else, with all forms of coding and design work and hours of listening to me ramble about different shades of css colour codes, and deserves huge respect for helping out a fellow broadcaster in the spirit that i think this scene thrives from and needs to survive. Big up Mr DL, only love in the dubstep radio game! Also props to Rubbadub must be said for his help with getting the archive out to all of you, an unsung hero. And also to everyone else who has helped get things how they are, your chests!

Re: SUB FM - The New Look!
bigup yourself.. was happy to lend my time and knowledge!!
you hit it spot on when you say i do it for the love of the music.. because i do!
6 years is indeed quite a long time for a site to go without major updates.
some of my personal favorite things about the new site are...
RSS feeds!!
theres one for just about everything on there... click the rss link in your browsers address bar when your on the index page...
you can subscribe to the front page, which functions just like a blog, with updates about the station, its djs, and other relative information about whatever! you can also subscribe to the podcast, and the timetable!
there is also a shiny new schedule which looks amazing!
you can check it out in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views... you can even search for your favorite show!
when your in the month (calendar) view, move your mouse over the show names to get a nice little info box. when you view the show details you can get information about the djs/shows such as links to their social networking profiles and personal sites!
ive also installed a shiny new iphone tune in page...
http://www.sub.fm/iphone
works pretty slick because apple decided to support listening to internet streams with safari.. which means you can tune into internet radio stations with your browser... and if that wasnt enough, it safari will continue to play the station even if you go back to your home screen or launch other apps!! go apple!
the iphone tune in pages will also work in any browser that has quicktime support.
the forum has also been completely integrated into the site.. once you login you will see an activity stream on the left hand side of the site which displays the latest forum activity for a nice quick view of whats goin on!
more additions to the forums will be made soon.. such as expanded profiles, custom fields, and some fun stuff too =]
huge up to atari, and everyone at subfm for putting up with that tiny little scrolling square on the old site for so long!! lol
show your appreciation for subfm. for all the hard work and dedication atari and the djs of sub.fm
Donate Today!
again it was a fun and challenging project. i hope everyone enjoys!
cheers

Big ups to all involved on this one. Site looks nice and crisp. The layout is a lot nicer and more practical and it all looks and feels a lots sleeker. Like the colours too (though was feeling the graphite & yellow ting!).

Re: SUB FM - The New Look!
dont worry, the 'marine will be returning, but in a slightly different guise
think of this current logo as logo 1.2, rather than logo 2.0

looks great!
Must say a huge thanks to DopeLabs for all this. The guy def doesnt need to be helping other stations out, yet here he is, always lending a hand to sub.fm.
Kudos, Sir.
