i kinda have to agree. at first i rolled my eyes, but it is genuinely funny. this'll be something in the dubstep history books "In late 2009 a sub genre of Dubstep entitled "Brostep" emerged. Scholars maintain that the solid evidence of its credibility AS a sub genre were lost over the years, due to too much controversy, confusion, and use of the word "bro"."

I see it this way.

You know how drum and bass is today? Awesome, right? Well, how did it get to be so great?

Jungle. Jungle was the shittiest boringest shit ever, and yet we got drum and bass out of it with sick midrange basslines.

But without jungle, there would be no drum & bass because jungle was like the prototype of the rocket but it exploded a few times and so they made a new one.

That's what dubstep is to us. A prototype.

We have your boring burial, your boring kode 9, your boring digital mystikz (COKI HAD A LARGE PART IN STARTING BROSTEP THO HE IS A BIG INFLUENCE), and of course your boring horsepower productions, el-b, all that shit. Dubstep is boring waste.

But without it we wouldn't have brostep!

Sorry if I make no sense, I smoke weed every day.

Every day.

EDIT: Dubstep artists making the switch to brostep are the best because they know that it's the right sound, the best sound for the progression of the sound. Some pretentious shit or something. blah blah blah
