yeah KM is an example of good headphone music....it's like every 30 sec ONE random click or extra hi-hat will come in. crazy programming.

and I've noticed this thing they do with reverb on the bass....but it's a delayed reverb or something....like half a second decay that comes afterwards.

damn.

my favourite reverbs are epicVerb and Karma.....epicVerb sounds relatively real considering.

if anything they've copped some serious reverb unit...that's all it must be.

also their delays sound 'cleaner'. that's probably just eqing though.

I hear nothing random in the size degrees track. Everything is looped and repeated imo.

There bass sounds like it just has a standard Delay to me also...
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I usually put a pretty simple drum set down, then work on what the melody and bassline are going to sound like, then go back to the drums and make them fit the tune - all depends on the type of tune for me.

great example of simple drums on a sick beat - Skream-Oskillatah

good complex drums - Reso

Didnt like the set man:(

The set has quite a bad structure to it if I am honest. The flow is totally messed up and I found it hard to get into! Too many of the tracks sound rushed and not even complete, just CD fillers, what a shame.

I still love there reverb tho!

hats and ghost snares guys
triplets too
a good beat will combine all three to sound like a natural drummer
if you seperate sound kinda off kilter its all about the gel of everything together 8)
edit: next 20twelve i gave loads to not same old pop dance deadly break, hell even ridin has a lil dif beat mainly machine sound drums but still
once ep or lp whatever he wants to call it is... drums and bass should be focus first and foremost guys

really? well actually it's not the whole set that really does it for me. its just that one song which can only be heard on that mix.

I gotta be honest, Im with serox on this one. The set seemed a bit flat and uninteresting.

The second tune is good, just not as good as I expected.
