I do a rough mastering/compression job on soundforge and export it to 320 and 256 mp3s (320s for labels etc, 256 for mates etc. on msn/AIM)

LAME - CODEC

and

DBPowerAMP (an old free version) you now have to pay for it :(

its v good

integrates into your shell and has a right click sub menu to convert

wav > mp3
and
mp3 > wav

is very easy to use and uses hardly any memory
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm << here's the most recent version

the old version i have is on disk somewhere ill post it if i find it ;)

you should check my codec thread aswell :)
http://www.dubstepforum.com/which-codec ... ilit=codec

and with the new version these files are supported ...
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm (with the correct codecs installed)

Soundforge / Wavelab.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

soundforge

@whoever asked the difference between joint stereo and stereo: joint stereo is one file with info for left + right tracks, stereo is 2 files, one with info for the left and other for the right. i assume anyway, its normally labeled split stereo tbh.

mixcraft is sick

bridges the gap between ejay and acid. In fact it's the good acid.
