I think it was a little bit too "thin". Needs more bass, liked the vocal:)

I think the synth sounds you use are pretty cool, the kick is nice and strong :)
The bass is a bit lacking for me, it's all pretty quiet, maybe try a decent multiband compressor on the output? There are quite a few good free ones knocking about on the web, my personal favorite is the buzzcomp stuff..
The sample gets repetitive, maybe do some more editing and cutting up?
Good choice of remix :) gotta love a bit of portishead :)
